Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU), in partnership with an automobile company, has launched \u2018EVitalize 2022-Powering What\u2019s Next\u2019, a showcase of electric vehicle (EV) innovation to bring the young minds solve the real-world challenges to address major barriers in mass adoption of EVs.<\/p>\n
The government in a statement said that the hackathon went live last week on the Startup India portal and the applications would be accepted till October 5. If selected, the participants would have to prepare and submit their final solution and submit their proposals till November 10. The themes of the competition revolve around battery thermal management, battery management systems, telematics control unit and EV recharging.<\/p>\n
Officials said that DSEU\u2019s incubation centre provides an opportunity to start-ups, problem-solvers and students across India, through this hackathon, to propose workable innovative solutions for real-world EV problems.<\/p>\n
The selection and evaluation criteria of the proposed solution will include parameters such as readiness to be deployed; creativity and innovation; scalability and replicability; design elements that add to end user experience; and functionality and cost of production. \u201cThe finalists will have to make a presentation before the panellists. Winner of each problem statement will win a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh apart from a chance to work with the automobile company if there are synergies in co-development.
