Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Avinash Kumar issued a notification regarding his appointment. Gupta has been appointed for the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>The post was lying vacant since June last year after the resignation of outgoing Chairman, Arvind Prasad. Now the Commission has come to the full bench. Earlier, the Government had appointed two members in the Commission. The Commission was completely defunct since February last year. Now after the appointment of the Chairman, the entire quorum of the Commission has been completed.
