KOLKATA: After the two-year Covid break, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has resumed international tours from Kolkata – that too at pocket-friendly rates – ahead of Durga Puja.
\nWith the international tourist market opening up after Covid, IRCTC, east zone, launched its maiden foreign holiday package with a five-day and four-night trip to Thailand during the Independence Day week. A host of national and international products are lined up for the forthcoming Puja and Diwali vacations as well by the Indian Railways subsidiary which organizes tours to major and exquisite destinations across the country.
\nZafar Azam, IRCTC’s group general manager (GGM), east zone, told TOI on Tuesday, “For two years, people were virtually feeling claustrophobic, being confined indoors, even for office-work.
