NEW DELHI: The Indian air traveller, who is always in a tearing hurry to exit aircraft by standing up from his\/her seat the moment or sometimes even before an aircraft comes to a halt, will now be able to do so quickly from IndiGo Airbus flights parked at remote bays where stepladders are used and not aerobridges.
\nThe budget carrier on Thursday \u2014 its 16th anniversary \u2014 introduced a new \u201cthree point disembarkation\u201d process that will enable passengers to exit its A320\/321s faster. The new process will be carried out from two forward and one rear exit ramp.
\nIndiGo has conducted trials and says it has received \u201cencouraging feedback\u201d from customers. The cabin crew will make the necessary announcements to inform customers at the time of deboarding. This new disembarkation procedure will be implemented on IndiGo\u2019s A320 and A321 fleet for flights arriving at remote stands at Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru airports to begin with, and will be progressively deployed across the network, the airline says. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
