NEW DELHI: GoFirst\u2019s Ahmedabad-Chandigarh flight on Thursday returned to the origin soon after take off following a bird hit. \u201cThere was a suspected bird hit to engine number 1 and the aircraft operating as G8-911 returned to Ahmedabad. It is being investigated,\u201d said a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) official. Comments from GoAir have been sought and are awaited.
\nFollowing some bird hits this monsoon, the DGCA had on June 20 asked airport operators to immediately take steps to minimise this risk.
