Electric vehicle maker Altigreen has joined hands with the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CAIML) at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata to analyse the performance of its vehicles and help improve their energy efficiency.<\/p>\n
Cloud data generated by the advanced drivetrain stack in the Altigreen EVs will undergo statistical analysis using machine learning (ML) algorithms with the objective of continuously improving the energy efficiency under various use cases and environmental conditions. \u201cThis takes the company one step closer to achieving real-time decision- making, thus reducing any driver and driving dependencies. The association is also a continuation of the company\u2019s strong R&D heritage that supports the development of the best-suited EVs for India and the emerging markets of South Asia, Africa and South America,\u201d said Altigreen co-founder and CEO Amitabh Saran. Altigreen owns 26 global patents for its technology.<\/p>\n
CAIML member Amitava Bandyopadhyay and the project lead said it was ISI\u2019s first industry outreach initiative in the emerging space of electric vehicles.<\/p>\n
