MUMBAI: An Air India Dreamliner aircraft operating a flight from Dubai to Cochin with 247 passengers and crew on board faced a cabin pressurization problem en route which had oxygen masks deploy in the cabin and the pilots divert the flight to Mumbai where it landed safely on Thursday evening.
\nIn the recent months, India has witnessed a rise in air turn backs and flight diversions over engineering issues. \u201cThe aircraft has been grounded and the crew has been off rostered,\u201d said Arun Kumar, director general, civil aviation.
\nThe Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has initiated an inquiry. An Air India spokesperson said that flight AI-934 diverted to Mumbai due to a technical issue.
