NEW DELHI: The close to 2,000 employees living in Air India\u2019s staff colonies \u2014 the uber posh Vasant Vihar in Delhi and Kalina in Mumbai \u2014 will have to leave their official accommodation latest by July 26, 2022, or face staff fines and also lose there retirement benefits.
\nThe employees were supposed to vacate the same within six months of AI divestment that\u2019s completed earlier this year.
\nA special purpose vehicle, AI Assets Holding Ltd (AIAHL), that has been created to take over AI\u2019s non aviation assets and gradually monetise them to pay off the airline\u2019s debt retained by the government has asked the airline to remind the employees about the looming deadline.
