NEW DELHI: Oil minister Hardeep Puri on Saturday dedicated to the nation state-run ONGC\u2019s Rs 3,740 Mumbai High South offshore redevelopment projects that will yield more than 7 million tonne of oil and a billion cubic meters of gas.
\nAccompanied by company chairman Alka Mittal and directors OP Singh and Pankaj Kumar, Puri asked ONGC to put more efforts to raise output and speed up exploration.
\nThe minister also appreciated ONGC\u2019s efforts in implementing the projects. This is the first EOR (enhanced oil recovery) initiative in an Indian offshore field and has been implemented under a 2018 policy for raising output from domestic fields.
\nThis is Puri\u2019s first visit to an offshore project and will sensitise him about ONGC\u2019s efforts that have kept the Mumbai High field, which started production in 1975, alive till this day and raising production by adding new discoveries over the years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
