People gathered in large numbers in many villages along the proposed alignment for the project to prevent officials from surveying their land.<\/p>\n<p>In the state capital, social activist Medha Patkar led a protest march to the state secretariat even as BJP workers sneaked into the chief minister\u2019s official residence and erected concrete stones used for identifying land to be acquired for the project.
