PUNE The state government has announced to organise \u2018Pune Alternate Fuel Conclave\u2019 from April 2 to April 5 in the city. Among the stakeholders involved in organising the conclave are Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) along with industry body Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture (MCCIA).<\/p>\n
Recently, in July 2021, the state government rolled out a comprehensive EV policy in a bid to accelerate the adoption of EVs.<\/p>\n
Aaditya Thackeray, Minister for Environment and Tourism said, \u201cWe need to act now to preserve our environment. New mobility is a very important component of it. We are presenting India\u2019s largest Alternate Fuel (Electrical, Hydrogen and Biofuels) based vehicle exhibition, rally and conference starting this Gudhi Padwa, i.e., April 2. We want India to lead the transition to sustainable mobility and we would take all possible steps for Maharashtra to lead from the front and contribute significantly to this journey.
