In an attempt to garner public support in favour of its ambitious project, the state government has come out with a special edition of its publication \u2018Kerala Calling\u2019, detailing the advantages of the project while also responding to criticism levelled against it.<\/p>\n<p>In a detailed article, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said steps are being taken to reduce the number of buildings &#8212; 9,314 &#8212; that come in the way of the proposed alignment. \u201cAs much as `13,265 crore has been set apart for payment of damages, including land acquisition.
