NEW DELHI: In a country where nothing draws eyeballs like cricket, IndianOil has roped in batting legend Sunil Gavaskar \u2013 lovingly called \u2018Little Master\u2019 for his prowess in the game \u2013 to promote \u2018Chhotu (little one)\u2019, the company\u2019s five-Kg LPG refills aimed at poor households and floating population \u2013 from migrant labourers, students to young professionals.
\nGavaskar was the star attraction at a function organised by the flagship oil refiner and fuel retailer to mark one year of the refill\u2019s rechristening by company chairman Shrikant Madhav Vaidya in December 2020.
\nSince its rechristening, Chhotu has grown into one of the most popular LPG brands in the country. Since its rebranding, with sales posting a growth of more than 58%. On average, IndianOil sells almost two lakh free-sale Chhotu refills every month across the country.
