The reductions take effect Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Prices of petrol and diesel will thus come down accordingly,&#8221; the finance ministry said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Since May 2020, prices of petrol and diesel have risen by Rs 38.85 and Rs 29.35 per litre, respectively. On Wednesday, petrol was being sold at Rs 110.04 per litre in Delhi and Rs 115.85 per litre in Mumbai.
