RANCHI: Passengers, who are arriving at Ranchi and Hatia railway stations from different parts of the country, continue to evade the Covid-19 testing protocols and leave the district\u2019s administrative officials embarrassed.
\nA day after Ranchi deputy commissioner Chhavi Ranjan talked tough and issued a directive that passengers who tested positive for Covid-19 infection upon arrival should not be allowed to slip away, hundreds of passengers from Bihar and West Bengal arrived at the Ranchi railway station in separate trains but managed to escape the testing net.
\nMore than 20 teams of health workers have been deployed at the station\u2019s key entry and exit points to ensure that a maximum number of incoming passengers were tested. However, when the Patna-Ranchi Jan Shatabdi Express rolled into the station around 1:55 pm, hundreds of passengers emerged from the coaches and made their way out through the newly opened foot-over bridge (FOB) which descends onto the parking lot. A few yards away from the steps of the FOB were teams of health workers ready with testing kits to screen the passengers.
