It will be taken over by a public company, ITA (Italia Trasporto Aereo). <\/p>\n<p>The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has requested aviation authorities here to \u201cdirect\u201d International Air Transport Association (IATA) to \u201censure all refunds are processed by (Alitalia).\u201d It has sought refunds in cash, reportedly for several \u201ccrores\u201d, and not as credit shells \u2014 to be used for future travel on Alitalia successor \u2014 in accounts of Indian travel agents. <\/p>\n<p>Delhi-based Belair Travel MD Pawan S Jain says travel agencies like his were \u201cpersuaded to promote and sell\u201d Alitalia tickets in India with \u201clucrative incentive scheme on flown revenue of 7% on business class and 6% on economy class.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW DELHI: Travel agents in India are a worried lot about getting refund from Alitalia, Italy\u2019s biggest airline that is ceasing operations from October 15 due to financial reasons.
