The city has around 344 bridges and officials said there is an increasing need for such routine inspections to be done. <\/p>\n<p>Currently, a tender to inspect bridges in the island city has been floated and municipal officials said that there are plans to float a tender to appoint an agency to inspect bridges in the entire city. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was a long-pending proposal but much needed to be done.
