In these nearly two decades, the capital saw its power demand grow by two and a half times and the aggregate technical and commercial (AT&amp;C) losses, primarily caused by theft, came down from 55% to 7.5%. <\/p>\n<p>Privatisation of the Delhi Vidyut Board took place in 2002.
