The cost of providing supply was Rs 1 crore, an official announced on Sunday evening. <\/p>\n<p>The huge costs involved was due to replacing the old infrastructure with brand new cables, distribution transformers and substations. <\/p>\n<p>The official said that a 3000 KW connection was provided to the hospital which is in the vicinity of Cotton Corporation of India and will have 100 ICU beds. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The tariff will be charged as per the rates of MERC for public services,&#8221; she said, adding that MSEDCL managing director Vijay Singhal had instructed that the supply should be given to Covid centres\/oxygen generating plants across MMR after obtaining required approvals and completing all formalities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MUMBAI: The MSEDCL has supplied power to a 650-bed Covid centre set up by Panvel municipal corporation at Kalamboli.
