In 2012, it had bought BP\u2019s petchem plant in Malaysia for $230 million. <\/p>\n<p>The petchem plant in Abu Dhabi\u2019s Al Ruwais city will produce chlor-alkali, ethylene dichloride and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Chlor-alkali is used in water treatment and in the manufacture of textiles and metals.
