It is expected to cut short travel time to around 45 minutes from over 2.5 hours at present.<\/p>\n<p>Union Minister for Road Transport &amp; Highways Nitin Gadkari took to Twitter to announce the commencement of the highly-anticipated road project. \u201cDelhi Meerut Expressway has now been completed &amp; opened to traffic.
