She also added that if states so want, she would discuss bringing Petrol under GST in the next meeting.<\/p>\n<p>She was speaking during a debate on the Finance Bill in the Parliament. Referring to the issues raised by various members on higher taxes on motor fuel, Sitharaman said that she would love to discuss the issue of bringing petrol and diesel under GST in the next GST Council meeting. \u201cA point which members raised\u2014bring petrol and diesel into GST. The highest tax today on petrol and diesel is in Maharashtra.
