NEW DELHI: IndiGo handed a passenger of 6E 938, Bengaluru-Kolkata, flight on Saturday to security agencies on arrival due to violation of Covid norms. \u201c(The flyer was) handed over to security on arrival at Kolkata for not wearing mask despites repeated requests made by the crew,\u201d said an airline spokesperson.
\nThis is sixth action by three airlines so far this week against 10 violators \u2014 Alliance Air (4 from one flight), IndiGo (4 passengers from as many flights) and AirAsia India (two from one flight) \u2014 from Monday (March 15) till now.
\nPassengers violating Covid protocol of wearing masks\/PPE gowns and maintaining social distancing can be banished from flying for anywhere upto two years under the DGCA\u2019s unruly passenger rules.
