The ongoing Parliament session will consider the Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2021, that has proposed amendments including measures such as \u201cde-licensing&#8221; of the power distribution business to bring in competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe viability of distribution companies is a serious concern. A revamped reforms-based result-linked power distribution sector scheme will be launched with an outlay of \u20b93,05,984 crores over 5 years.
