NEW DELHI: A state-of-the-art lubricants plant built at Kolkata by the country\u2019s largest oil refiner and fuel retailer IndianOil Corporation will be a game-changer for the development of eastern India, oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Saturday.
\n\u201cThe modern lube plant in Kolkata will be a game-changer\u2026 and accelerate the pace of development of eastern India in sync with prime minister Narendra Modi\u2019s vision of Purvodaya (rise of the east),\u201d Pradhan said in a series of tweets after inaugurating the unit at Kolkata.
\nIndianOil built the plant by adding state-of-the-art and augmenting capacity at an investment of Rs 142 crore. It will cater to the growing demand for lubricants in the eastern part of the country and serve customers in West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand and the entire northeast.
\nPradhan said IndianOil\u2019s \u2018Servo\u2019 brand of world-class indigenously made lubricant is a shining example of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).
