NGPC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the country\u2019s major power generating company NTPC Limited. A unit of 660 MW of NGPC\u2019s super thermal power plant here is commercially functional since 2019. \u201cAbout 85% of the power generated from this power project is allocated to Bihar, 10% to Uttar Pradesh, 4% to Jharkhand and 1% to Sikkim. In this way, Bihar gets 560 MW from a 660 MW unit,\u201d Singh said.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as the commercial production of the first unit started, Bihar started getting 560MW of electricity, which will now almost double. \u201cThe technical trial of the second unit of the project has been done and is now ready for commercial production.
