{"id":379500,"date":"2020-10-20T11:06:19","date_gmt":"2020-10-20T05:36:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/?p=379500"},"modified":"2020-10-20T11:25:12","modified_gmt":"2020-10-20T05:55:12","slug":"ntpc-says-dadri-to-be-indias-cleanest-thermal-power-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/ntpc-says-dadri-to-be-indias-cleanest-thermal-power-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"NTPC says Dadri to be India&#8217;s cleanest thermal power plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW DELHI: Amid Delhi government\u2019s demand to shut coal-fired power plants within a radius of 300 kms, public sector NTPC on Monday said it is taking steps to make its Dadri project the country\u2019s cleanest thermal generation unit and complying with all CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) emission guidelines.<br \/>\nThe country\u2019s largest power producer said the Dadri unit has become the first in India to install \u2018dry sorbent injection\u2019 system in 210-MW units to reduce sulphur content in emission. The technology has been sourced from US-based UCC for all the four 210-MW units at the plant that are now meeting emission norms.<br \/>\nThe company said emission parameters are being monitored online and transmitted to CPCB on real-time. \u201cFlue gas emissions and particulate matter are well within the CPCB norms, with high-efficiency ESP in service in all the four 210-MW and the two 490-MW units,\u201d the company said.<br \/>\nIt said FGD system is in advanced stage of implementation in the 490-MW units by BHEL with technology from Mitsubishi, Japan. All the 210 MW units were already compliant to NOx emission norms.
