Nationally, there has been a marginal growth in petrol demand on a comparable basis during the same period. This is one of the indications of economic recovery, but diesel demand was down by 20% because of low demand from railways and aviation fuel was down by 75%, said Pritish Bharat, executive director of West Bengal State office of Indian Oil (IOC).<br \/>\nInteracting with an audience at a webinar on Monday, Bharat pointed out that the average monthly demand for petrol in West Bengal is 1.10 lakh kilolitre taken into account all the three oil PSUs \u2014 IOC, Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL).
