NEW DELHI: \u201cNamaste India.\u201d That\u2019s the name Lufthansa Cargo has chosen for its brand new Boeing 777 frighted aircraft. The aircraft \u2014 which has its name written in Hindi also \u2014 flew into Frankfurt from the US to join the German air freight transport major\u2019s fleet on August 31.
\n\u201cThe new aircraft bears the name \u2018Namaste India\u2019, which it has taken over from an aircraft with the registration D-ALCJ (a McDonnell Douglas MD-11) that has already been taken out of service,\u201d Euro 2.5-billion Lufthansa Cargo said in a statement on its website.
\n\u201cA brand-new Boeing 777F landed at Frankfurt Airport 31 August 31, 2020. The cargo aircraft with registration D-ALFH (flew in from) Everett Airport in Washington State, USA. It is the eighth aircraft of this type in Lufthansa Cargo’s freighter fleet. The investments in our fleet are a significant contribution to the sustainable improvement of our economic and ecological efficiency. We want to make air cargo as fast, safe and environmentally friendly as possible,” said Peter Gerber, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo.
