NEW DELHI: Wadia Group budget airline, GoAir, has lost yet another CEO with Vinay Dube quitting from this position. The former CEO of grounded Jet Airways was given the same designation at GoAir this February but now he too has quit. GoAir has over 70% of its staff on leave without pay since April and is operating only a handful of flights. Its domestic market share in July, 2020, according to DGCA data, was mere 3.8%.
\nIn a statement, GoAir said: \u201cVinay Dube has ceased to be in the employment of GoAir with immediate effect and hence ceases to be the CEO of the company\u2026 (airline has now) appointed Kaushik Khona as CEO with immediate effect.\u201d Incidentally, Khona was GoAir CEO for over two years from April 2009 after which he left the Wadia Group.
