CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu power minister P Thangamani on Monday denied the allegation that electricity bills are calculated wrongly. He said power bills were calculated properly and there was no scam.
\nIn a statement, the minister said the Madras high court had dismissed a case stating that the calculation of bills was correct.
\nOpposition DMK will stage protests against the \u2018high\u2019 power bills on Tuesday.
\n\u201cDMK president M K Stalin is stating that people are suffering due to high power bills. We could not take reading from residences due to the lockdown. Readings were taken once there was relief from the lockdown,\u201d said Thangamani.
