Kolkata: The political diatribe between Trinamool Congress and BJP continued on Thursday with Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh taking a dig at chief minister Mamata Banerjee\u2019s warning of stern action against corrupt party workers and TMC hitting streets to protest the fuel price hike.
\nA day after BJP president J P Nadda\u2019s cut money jibe at TMC, Ghosh made light of the CM\u2019s comment. Terming the move as an eyewash, Ghosh said: \u201cThey are now being asked to lie low for a while. Once the controversy subsides, they will be brought back to the party\u2019s fold again. The TMC is showcasing that as a showcause to its errant members.\u201d He also brought in a host of charges against the Trinamool, including a Rs 18-crore tarpaulin fraud over Amphan relief.
\nTrinamool continued with its state-wide demonstration in protest against the proposed privatization of railways, fuel price hike and foreign direct investment in coal.
