NEW DELHI: India\u2019s busiest airport, Delhi\u2019s IGIA, has now been designated as a \u201cmajor hub for import and distribution of COVID-19 related medical essentials\u201d by the aviation ministry. The airport has been handling about 22 cargo flights daily, catered to by a dedicated distribution facility spread over 3,800 square metres.
\nOver 20 lakh face masks; 2 lakh bottles of sanitisers; 70,000 body suits; 1.5 lakh personal protection equipment (PPE) kits and 50,000 other medical equipment have been channelised across India via IGIA so far during the rampaging global pandemic.
