The centre was opened by state power minister P Thangamani on Friday.<br \/>\n\u201cREMC enables optimum utilisation of renewable power as it is connected to 154 pooling stations, which evacuate wind and solar power round-the-clock,\u201d said a senior official in the state load despatch centre (SLDC).<br \/>\nSimilar centres have been set up in seven states that are rich in wind and solar power generation.
