NEW DELHI: Following receipt of \u201cnumerous complaints from female employees working as pilots, cabin crew and in other technical areas regarding harassment by their colleagues\/superior officers,\u201d the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has directed all airlines to sternly deal with these cases as per law.
\nCiting the Supreme Court\u2019s Vishakha case judgment which lays down guidelines for dealing with sexual harassment complaints, DGCA\u2019s deputy DG Maneesh Kumar on Wednesday wrote to all airline CEOs advising them to \u201censure strict compliance of Vishakha (verdict) guidelines.\u201d
\n\u201cOne of the guideline requires that all organisations should have a \u2018complaint committee\u2019 consisting of members from a third party\u2026.
