The step followed an inquiry after a TOI reported on Wednesday.<br \/>\nThe ground staffer at counter 15 had, on Tuesday morning, refused a wheelchair to Mamta Agarwala, who was travelling to Coimbatore for a spine operation. It was only when the airport director\u2019s office stepped in that a senior airline official made the wheelchair available.<br \/>\nFollowing the TOI report on the incident, SpiceJet launched an investigation, speaking to the senior official who had resolved the issue, as well as other ground staffers working in adjacent counters that morning.
