On December 31, its price was Rs 748.<br \/>\nThe commercial cylinder, weighing 19 kg, also served a New Year shocker as its price had gone up to Rs 1,400 from Rs 1,368 \u2014 a jump of Rs 32 \u2014 in a matter of 24 hours. This cylinder is mostly used in the hotel industry and hostels.<br \/>\nConsumers were upset with the price hike. \u201cAs if the high price of onions, tomatoes and potatoes wasn\u2019t enough, we are now forced to shell out more on a cylinder.
