NEW DELHI: In a first for an Indian carrier, IndiGo has reached a landmark of a plane taking off every minute of the day. The low cost carrier \u2014 which started operations less than 14 years ago in August 2006 \u2014 now operates 1,500 flights and flies over 2.5 lakh people everyday across its network of 60 domestic and 23 international destinations. It has 250 planes in its fleet with over 600 still on order and yet to join the fleet at the rate of one per week for next 13-14 years.
