Through this, it seeks to put the renewable energy schemes on fast track by mandating renewable generation, its purchase and payments to the generators. It also permits tariff-bundling of renewable power with conventional power. Besides, it proposes to create a company called Renewable Energy Corporation of India (RECI) that would act as a national level RE procurement entity, and support development of Renewable Energy Investment Zones across the country.
