The Chief Secretary (CS) of Uttarakhand, Utpal Kumar Singh, has directed the officials to repair and correct the places which have been earmarked as accident prone areas. He was undertaking a review meeting on road safety at secretariat on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The CS said that the department concerned should work in coordination for effective control on road accidents.<\/p>\n
He said that a meeting should be convened for use of available budget on road safety fund. There is a provision to spend 25 percent of budget of the road safety fund on the works related with road safety.<\/p>\n
In the meeting the additional chief secretary, Om Prakash said that 15000 sensitive spots have been earmarked in the state out of which 51 spots have been corrected by the Public Works Department (PWD) while 47 spots were repaired by National Highways Authority and PWD.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
