India has raised this demand at the United Nations\u2019 aviation arm, International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), last week.<br \/>\nA team of top Indian aviation officials, led by minister H S Puri, proposed changes in ICAO\u2019s \u201ccarbon offsetting and reduction scheme for international aviation\u201d (CORSIA) program during its general assembly meeting in Montreal last week. \u201c\u2026under CORSIA\u2026, emissions of each aircraft operator (airline) form the basis of the (mitigation of GHG emissions) scheme leaving the country totally out of it.
