NEW DELHI: In a first for airlines globally, you may now be able to see if a toddler is seated near a seat you are going to book for yourself. Japan Airlines (JAL) has started showing a baby icon on seats that people book for children travelling with them.
\nThe idea: Allow travellers who want be seated away from young children to have a sound sleep on the flight. It is natural for young babies to cry due to discomfort like ear pain and being confined to a seat on flights.
\n\u201cPassengers traveling with children between 8 days and 2 years old who select their seats on the JAL website will have a child icon displayed on their seats on the seat selection screen.
