The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Punjab, has accused the state government of allowing Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to \u201cloot\u201d power consumers by delaying bill generation and delivery due to which people are made to pay additional 15-20 per cent.<\/p>\n
In a joint statement, the coordinator of the party\u2019s Bijli Morcha and MLA Meet Hayer stated that the party had raised the issue of inordinate delay in dispatching of bills and grant of new power connections. State convener and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann said, \u201cJust like the erstwhile Badal government, Capt Amarinder government too is indulged in an open \u2018loot\u2019 of consumers. Electricity offices in the state were non-functional for over 20 days. Electricity bills, which should have reached the consumers 15-20 days ago, have not been even generated.
