NEW DELHI: IndiGo has appointed an independent woman director \u2014 a well known dispute resolution lawyer \u2014 resolving yet another conflict point between its co-founders Rahul Bhatia and Rakesh Gangwal. The airline told BSE Friday that the board InterGlobe Aviation Limited (airline\u2019s parent company) approved Pallavi Shardul Shroff\u2019s appointment with effect from Thursday.
\n\u201cShroff is the managing partner of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Company with over 37 years of experience\u2026. Shroff is the head of dispute resolution practice at the firm, with knowledge in matters of litigation and arbitration\u2026. Shroff has been closely involved with some of the largest and most challenging litigation and arbitration matters in India.\u2026 She has recently been appointed on the International Chamber of Commerce Court of Arbitration,\u201d IndiGo said in a statement. Shroff is also a director on the boards of listed companies like Apollo Tyres and Asian Paints.
