As a result, Air India flights to these airports have been uploading double the fuel quantity so as to have enough fuel to operate the return flight, saving themselves the need to re-fuel at any of these stations,\u201d said a source. Extra fuel upload increases the aircraft weight. This might lead to some passengers being offloaded, especially those on long routes like Delhi-Kochi or Mumbai-Kochi.<br \/>\nLast month, IndianOil had threatened to stop fuel supply to the airline but the matter was resolved following an intervention by the civil aviation ministry.
