With the new route, the flight duration would reduce by around one-and-a-half hours from 14.5 hours to 13 hours and fuel savings would be in the range of 2,000 to 7,000 kilograms per flight, according to an Air India spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p>Air India operates a daily flight from New Delhi to San Francisco. The airline has flights between India and North America over the Atlantic and the Pacific routes. \u201cPolar routes between India and North American destinations are yet to be utilised.
