This will ensure energy security, forex savings and employment. <\/p>\n<p>This would also help India achieve its solar targets and the government vision of \u2018Make in India\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>In its policy paper \u2018Solar PV Manufacturing in India: Silicon Ingot &amp; Wafer &#8211; PV Cell &#8211; PV Module\u2019, TERI has recommended the development of 15 GW full value chain solar manufacturing capacity in India by 2024. <\/p>\n<p>It has said that this should be done in a phased manner \u2014 Phased Manufacturing Programme \u2014 under the \u2018Make in India\u2019 plan.
