However, in Sholinganallur, power was cut at 8am and restored at 7pm.<br \/>\n\u201cWe got a text message on Sunday informing us of the scheduled power cut. However, this morning, the power went off an hour earlier and was restored three hours after the scheduled time. We were prepared for the cut but this one was extremely long especially on such a hot day,\u201d said Nagalakshmi, a resident of Semmenchery.<br \/>\nResidents dialled the local EB office for updates, but without much help.
