{"id":270745,"date":"2019-04-23T07:00:19","date_gmt":"2019-04-23T07:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/?p=270745"},"modified":"2019-04-23T07:00:19","modified_gmt":"2019-04-23T07:00:19","slug":"sc-seeks-replies-from-centre-jk-on-highway-traffic-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/sc-seeks-replies-from-centre-jk-on-highway-traffic-ban\/","title":{"rendered":"SC seeks replies from Centre, J&amp;K on highway traffic ban"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme Court on Monday sought responses from the Centre and Jammu and Kashmir on a plea seeking quashing of an order which restricts civilian traffic two days a week on the national highway (NH) stretch from Udhampur to Baramulla for movement of security forces.<\/p>\n<p>The State government issued an order on April 3 in which it said that keeping in view the Pulwama terror attack, another car bomb attack on security forces\u2019 convoy at Banihal and movement of forces during the Lok Sabha elections, no civilian traffic movement would be allowed on the NH stretch from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. twice a week.<\/p>\n<p>The order said there would be two \u201cdedicated days every week\u201d \u2014 Sunday and Wednesday \u2014 for movement of security forces\u2019 convoy when there would be no civilian traffic on the national highway from Baramulla to Udhampur.
