{"id":267068,"date":"2019-03-29T07:17:26","date_gmt":"2019-03-29T07:17:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/?p=267068"},"modified":"2019-03-29T07:26:26","modified_gmt":"2019-03-29T07:26:26","slug":"tatas-enter-airports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/tatas-enter-airports\/","title":{"rendered":"Tatas enter airports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tatas on Wednesday ventured into airports when it teamed up with an affiliate of Singapore\u2019s sovereign wealth fund GIC and SSG Capital Management (SSG) to pick up a stake in the airport business of GMR Infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The consortium will invest Rs 8,000 crore in GMR Airports \u2014 a Rs 1,000-crore equity infusion in GMR Airports and Rs 7,000 crore towards the purchase of GMR Airports\u2019 shares from GMR Infrastructure and its arms.<\/p>\n<p>After the transaction, GMR Infra and its subsidiaries will hold around a 54 per cent stake in GMR Airports, while the Tatas will hold 20 per cent. GIC will hold 15 per cent, SSG Capital 10 per cent and an employee\u2019s body of GMR Airports, the rest.
